Why Not Gen 2+?

Gen 2+ devices served the industry well for years. They use autogated image intensifier tubes that provide a reasonable image in low-light conditions -- and for a long time, they were the go-to option for businesses that wanted night vision without the premium price tag.

But "reasonable" isn't what our clients need. Whether you're running security on a festival perimeter, filming a night sequence for a major production, or conducting realistic tactical training, the difference between Gen 2+ and Gen 3 is immediately obvious. We weren't prepared to offer equipment that we knew could be better.

The Gen 3 Advantage

Gen 3 devices use a gallium arsenide photocathode that delivers superior image resolution, significantly better performance in extremely low-light conditions, and a longer tube lifespan. The clarity and range are in a different class -- especially in near-total darkness, where Gen 2+ devices begin to struggle.
